Having been baptized in the Spirit as a Protestant, yet theologically convinced of the truths of Catholic teaching, finding the Catholic Charismatic renewal was a huge reassurance to me that indeed, everything that is good and of God belongs in the Catholic Church. The activated spiritual gifts of others through the Renewal led to both my conversion to Catholicism (my sister’s conversion through St. Paul’s Outreach) and the encouragement and strength to pursue my vocation to the priesthood as now a first theology seminarian (through the example of priests on fire from the Renewal). Praised be God for the Renewal and I pray it continues to reach millions more!
