“I was born and raised in Vietnam and moved to Oklahoma in 2002. When I was in college, I began to search for true happiness and love and my mom took me to a Vietnamese Charismatic Conference. At 3p.m, the priest exposed Jesus on the altar. Looking at the Eucharist, I asked Him “Lord, are You real? Do You really exist? Do You know me and care about me?” And at that moment I heard Him said “Before you were in your mother’s womb, I knew you.” After that with a torrents of tears, I received His Love and the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the Gift of Tongues. Two weeks later, He called and asked me to follow Him and serve others as He does. After hesitating a little bit, not wanting to be a Sister because that would mean I would have to give up my dreams of motherhood, I told Him “Lord I’ll give you a chance but let me know if you change your mind. But then I asked that “if You really want me to do this, You have to increase my love for You that loving You so much, I can give up everything to follow you” After this prayer, I looked up at the crucifix and realized no one in this world can love me like this Man. So I gave Him my total Yes! In response to His call, I joined the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in 2010 and made my final vows 2017. Now I know it’s not I who gave Him a chance but it’s Him who in His mercy called me and gave me chances.”
