Father Killian Loch, O.S.B., has been a monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey since 2010.

Prior to moving to Saint Vincent, his work as a priest in the Diocese of Scranton included serving for two years as a director of religious formation and five years as principal of a diocesan high school, working in three pastoral assignments; serving as regional vicar for the diocese and working as vicar for priests for the diocese. He was ordained a deacon in the Diocese of Scranton in 1978 and ordained a priest of that diocese in 1979.

He earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Scranton in 1975; a master of divinity degree in theology from Saint John Seminary, Brighton, Massachusetts and a master of education degree in administration from Boston College in 1989.

He made solemn profession of vows as a Benedictine monk in 2014.

His appointments at Saint Vincent include director of campus ministry at Saint Vincent College (2011-present), and director of postulants (2014-present) for Saint Vincent Archabbey.

Father Killian has been active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, serving as chairman of its National Service Committee, now known as the Pentecost Today USA Board (2009-2010) and a council member (2002-2010).

Father Killian writes a column on Sunday homilies for The Catholic Accent, the Archabbey website, the website of the National Institute for the Renewal of the Priesthood, and Jednota, the newspaper of the First Catholic Slovak Union
