Theological Consultant

Fr. George Montague, SM he professed his first vows as a Marianst, in Galesville, Wisconsin in 1947. He was ordained in 1958 and received his Licentiate in Sacred Theology in 1959 and his doctorate in Sacred Theology in 1960.

Since 1971 he has been involved in and served in various advisory capacities to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. He was invited to address American and Canadian Bishops or their representatives attending the International Conference on the Charismatic Renewal at Notre Dame, Indiana, in June 1974. He was been a contributing editor of New Covenant, a member of the National Service Committee from 1978-1982 andhas been one of the NSC’s Theological Consultants since 1990.

He is the author of some twenty books. His latest book is entitled Mary’s Life in the Spirit: Meditations on a Holy Duet. He has been a speaker on six continents and has recently co-founded a charismatic religious community, the Brothers of the Beloved Disciple in San Antonio, Texas.
