Charles “Mick” Michie has 37 years of professional experience encompassing juvenile justice, adventure-based programming and training, youth and young adult ministry, and organizational development.  

After working for Tulsa Boys Home and Youth Services of Tulsa for 11 years (1985-1996), he worked for the National Resource Center for Youth Services coordinating, designing, and presenting training programs ranging from Managing Aggressive Behavior to Strategic Planning.  

Starting in 1996, Mick served as director of youth and young adult ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Tulsa facilitation formation and educational programs for parish youth ministry coordinators and organizing extensive summer camps, various retreat programs, and service-leaning experiences for youth and young adults.  

Since 2007, Mick and his wife Sheila have been co-principals of Empowerment Enterprise, LLC, an organizational development consulting firm established to focus on team building, professional training, leadership development, and ongoing ministry in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services. Together they serve as co-directors of diocesan CCRS and are actively involved in parish-based ACTS retreats. Mick has also become active in the Association of Diocesan Liaisons for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.  

Mick earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He has training in mountaineering and ropes course instruction through Colorado Outward Bound School and facilitating group dynamics and community development through the Institute of Cultural Affairs. He finds great joy in music ministry, service, and evangelization.
