Archbishop Bernard Hebda

Most Reverend Bernard A. Hebda serves as Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Archbishop Hebda is a Harvard graduate with a civil law degree from Columbia University. He worked for a high-profile Pittsburgh law firm before being ordained a priest in 1989. He served briefly as a parish priest, then became a canon lawyer before returning to the Diocese of Pittsburgh to work in various roles in the 1990s. He was named Fourth Bishop of Gaylord on October 7, 2009, and Coadjutor Archbishop of Newark, New Jersey, on September 24, 2013. He authored the Pastoral Letter: You Will Be My Witnesses announcing the appointment of a Vicar of Charisms and has initiated archdiocesan-wide School of the Holy Spirit and Life in the Spirit Series and parish small groups.
