An Answer to Prayer
Providence, Rhode Island
Early Friday began with a prayer walk through the streets of Providence, Rhode Island. Our highlight was being stopped by a gentleman named Mark who grew up in Providence and saw us praying. He said, “Are you all praying for the city? I was just sitting on that bench over there praying that God would send people to pray for this city, because it isn’t the ‘town’ I grew up in, so many sad people.”
Late Saturday Evening all 2,500 at the Conference pilgrimaged to this Cathedral and prayed and sang through the streets of Providence! Our God is a mighty God, and Mark’s desire was heard by our Lord.
This article references the CHARIS USA Conference, celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the US in Providence, Rhode Island, from July 29-31, 2022. The conference theme was “One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism”.
