Kathia Arango
Kathia Arango is the Director of the Office of Hispanic Catholics for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She currently serves as President of the Latin American Catholic Charismatic Council (CONCCLAT) and is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Association of Ecclesial Movements and Communities (MovCom) in the United States.
She has previously served as National Coordinator of the National Hispanic Service Committee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the United States and Canada, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Catholic Association of Diocesan Directors of Hispanic Ministry (NCADDHM). Internationally, Kathia represented the United States and Canada as the Regional Youth Representative for North America and the Caribbean with CONCCLAT.
In 2017, she was invited to participate as a speaker in the 50th Jubilee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Rome with Pope Francis, a celebration that gathered leaders and faithful from around the world.
Originally from Paraguay, Kathia holds a Master’s Degree in Theology and a Diploma in Leadership from the CHARIS Training Institute in Rome. Together with her husband, Andrés, she is the proud mother of twin daughters.
Kathia has been a speaker at numerous national and international conferences and retreats, including the 2015 World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia and the Papal Vigil in Paraguay in 2015. She is also the author of the book Sean Mis Testigos.
