Adeline’s life narrative reflects an embodiment of cultural, social, and religious ingredients. She was born in the former Spanish, Dutch, French, and British colony of Trinidad and Tobago in the Southern Caribbean. She has lived on two continents and in three American states. She is multi-racial, having ancestors from India, South America, Africa, and Spain. She was raised in a Muslim, Hindu, Anglican, and Catholic household, and she freely participated in the religious practices of these religions. All of these exclusive influences have shaped her core values and generated a love of and appreciation for diversity and unity across life contexts.

Adeline is a Catholic Charismatic who has been actively involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in varying capacities for over twenty-five years. She has been involved in leading a charismatic prayer group, organizing monthly healing services, and facilitating Life in the Spirit seminars. Through the platform of a global Catholic charismatic evangelization ministry, she has been hosting and sharing theological reflections for a weekly virtual international intercessory prayer meeting, hosting a monthly virtual charismatic prayer meeting, participating in television prayer initiatives, coordinating and hosting in-person and virtual retreats nationally and internationally, and organizing volunteers for various charismatic events.

Adeline has worked in South Florida as a college and university adjunct professor of English for eleven years and of Religion for three years. Adeline is a published author of the book, JESUS Speaks to Me: Whispers of Mercy, Whispers of Love, a compilation of memoirs—a distinctive genre of ordinary theology. Adeline holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, a Master’s Degree in English Education, and a PhD in Practical Theology. Her dissertation is entitled “Best Practices of the Holy Spirit as Formator” Trinidad Catholic Charismatic Covenant Communities: Fertile Ground for the Working of the Spirit as Catechist.”

Adeline’s passion is writing, spiritual formation, and evangelization.
